On June 13-14, 2017, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson testified on Capitol Hill about the FY 2018 budget request for the State Department and USAID. In his statement, he affirmed that this budget request “reflects a commitment to ensure every tax dollar spent is aligned with the [State Department] and USAID’s mission critical objectives.”
