Here, the US Coast Guard transfers a High Endurance Cutter to the #Vietnam Coast Guard during a ceremony in Honolulu, Hawaii, on May 26. The ship is expected to improve the Vietnam Coast Guard’s maritime domain awareness, increase its capacity to perform maritime law enforcement operations, and conduct search and rescue and other humanitarian response operations. The @StateDept ’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs and US Coast Guard jointly supported the donation, the refurbishing of the boat, and construction of related training facilities in Vietnam. #SemperParatus #CG227 #CGDay
