The @StateDept’s @TheTechGirls exchange program brings girls from the #MiddleEast and #NorthAfrica to the United States to learn about innovation and technology. The participants visit tech companies and organizations as part of the program, and engage in skill-building exercises. They also develop action plans for projects they want to pursue upon returning to their home countries. Earlier this week, several participants worked on #userexperience design and developed suggestions and ideas for a website during a simulation activity. Job shadowing is a key part of TechGirls, giving participants the opportunity to learn from mentors at U.S. companies and organizations and obtain real-world experience to support their interest in #STEM.
